Dr. Amy Coy
Dr. Amy Coy grew up in Bozeman, Montana, where her love of animals and nature first blossomed. That passion simply never quit! She always knew that she would love to help animals live happier, healthier lives as a veterinary professional. Now, Dr. Coy gets to give something back to the pets who have always given her so much—she’s the owner and operator of Agape Animal Clinic.
Dr. Coy attended Montana State University in Bozeman to earn her biology degree, then continued on to veterinary school at Washington State University. After working under other veterinarians from 2008 to 2011, she decided to branch out on her own and open her very own practice. That’s when Agape Animal Clinic was born!
Dr. Coy has been caring for the area’s pets and animal owners here since 2012, and particularly enjoys soft-tissue and exploratory surgeries. Most of all, though, she loves to meet the area’s pet parents and get to know their adorable animal companions. She’s proud to have practiced in four separate states, and she’s a member of two state veterinary associations as well as the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Coy has two sons, both of whom are pursuing engineering degrees at the moment. At home, she has several pets: Echo, an African Grey parrot who often comes to work with her; two Papillion dogs named Charles and Sonya; Molly the Maltese; a dog named Angus; Lucy the Great Dane; and two cats.
Chris has wanted to help others ever since he can remember. He’s also been fascinated by medicine for many years. When the opportunity arose for him to help pets and animal owners as a member of the veterinary profession, he knew that it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. Chris has been involved in veterinary care ever since, and he’s proud to now serve as Agape Animal Clinic’s Practice Manager!
After retiring from his career in the United States Army, Chris attended school to study veterinary technology. An old neighbor of his mentioned that they knew of a veterinarian in need of a Technician, and encouraged Chris to reach out. The rest is history—Chris joined the Agape Animal Clinic family shortly afterward and now keeps things running smoothly every day as the Practice Manager.
Chris particularly likes helping to educate the area’s pet owners on the best possible care techniques for their animal friends. He also loves to be there for families during both good and bad times—he considers it an honor to share those moments with the pet owners of this area.
Away from work, Chris likes to spend time with his wife, son, and the family’s three dogs: Jax the Husky, a Beagle named Odie, and Loki the Pit Bull.
Clara was always struck by the way that animals cannot always speak up for themselves, even though they’re experts at communicating with their human family members. She wanted to be able to help bridge that gap—for her, helping to advocate for pets and their healthcare is a dream come true. Clara gets to better the lives of animals every day as a member of Agape Animal Clinic’s front-desk team!
Clara is originally from Deming, New Mexico and used to work as a Medical Assistant in a pediatric office. She enjoyed the proximity to the medical world, but she knew that it wasn’t her true calling. When she heard about a veterinary receptionist position through her cousin (a Veterinary Technician herself), Clara jumped at the chance to get her foot in the door of the veterinary world. She hasn’t looked back since!
Clara has been a part of the Agape Animal Clinic family since late summer of 2019. Around the clinic, she loves to follow up with patients and their loving owners over the phone after their procedures. She’s also fond of observing in the surgical ward, and passing along all the information she learns to the pet owners of the area.
At home, Clara has two dogs: Haides, a Chihuahua mix, as well as her sister’s dog, a Toy Yorkie puppy who goes by Chapo Guzman.
Chance is a pet owner himself, and he knows how it feels to take great care of your very best friends in the world. He wanted to make sure that others were able to experience the wonderful bonds that we share with animals, too. That’s why he decided to become a veterinary professional! Chance is proud to serve as a member of Agape Animal Clinic’s Veterinary Assistant team.
Originally from New Mexico, Chance attended the University of Montana for college, where he worked in the wildlife and fisheries department as a Wildlife Veterinary Assistant. Next, he moved to Arizona and furthered his pet-care knowledge in a local Veterinary Assistant program. Through his schooling, he heard about an opening here at Agape Animal Clinic—Chance didn’t waste any time applying, and he’s been here ever since!
Medically, Chance is fond of surgical work and skin scrapes. Above all, he loves to interact one-on-one with pet owners just like himself and meet their adorable animal friends.
At home, Chance shares his life with two active and photogenic Chiweenies, Kaia and Malia.
Lizzete was always fascinated by the way a veterinarian could observe a patient and run tests to determine what was wrong, rather than communicating with words. She knew that she wanted to serve as an advocate for the earth’s creatures in that same way. For Lizzete, helping pets hands-on as a member of the veterinary profession is a dream come true!
Lizzete is originally from Mexico and has lived in the United States since she was a little girl. She’s currently attending the East Valley Institute of Technology to become a Veterinary Assistant, and was thrilled to accept an externship right here at Agape Animal Clinic. Lizzete couldn’t be happier to gain more hands-on experience in the world of veterinary care, and she finds that she’s particularly fond of helping with surgeries and dental procedures.
When she has time between work and school, Lizzete enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her pet. She has one animal companion at home, a red-eared slider turtle.
