Dr. Amy Coy

Owner, Veterinarian

Dr. Amy Coy grew up in Bozeman, Montana, where her love of animals and nature first blossomed. That passion simply never quit! She always knew that she would love to help animals live happier, healthier lives as a veterinary professional. Now, Dr. Coy gets to give something back to the pets who have always given her so much—she’s the owner and operator of Agape Animal Clinic.

Dr. Coy attended Montana State University in Bozeman to earn her biology degree, then continued on to veterinary school at Washington State University. After working under other veterinarians from 2008 to 2011, she decided to branch out on her own and open her very own practice. That’s when Agape Animal Clinic was born!

Dr. Coy has been caring for the area’s pets and animal owners here since 2012, and particularly enjoys soft-tissue and exploratory surgeries. Most of all, though, she loves to meet the area’s pet parents and get to know their adorable animal companions. She’s proud to have practiced in four separate states, and she’s a member of two state veterinary associations as well as the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Coy has two sons, both of whom are pursuing engineering degrees at the moment. Dr. Coy has a passion for animals. She has been in practice for more than 30 years. Her love of her patients extends to the love she has for her own four legged children. Her animal family consists of an African Grey Parrot named Echo, Willie the Great Dane, Charles the Papillion, Angus the Toy Fox Terrier and finally Fluffy the cat.

Chance Holyan

Vet Assistant

Chance is a pet owner himself, and he knows how it feels to take great care of your very best friends in the world. He wanted to make sure that others were able to experience the wonderful bonds that we share with animals, too. That’s why he decided to become a veterinary professional! Chance is proud to serve as a member of Agape Animal Clinic’s Veterinary Assistant team.

Originally from New Mexico, Chance attended the University of Montana for college, where he worked in the wildlife and fisheries department as a Wildlife Veterinary Assistant. Next, he moved to Arizona and furthered his pet-care knowledge in a local Veterinary Assistant program. Through his schooling, he heard about an opening here at Agape Animal Clinic—Chance didn’t waste any time applying, and he’s been here ever since!

Medically, Chance is fond of surgical work and skin scrapes. Above all, he loves to interact one-on-one with pet owners just like himself and meet their adorable animal friends.

At home, Chance shares his life with two active and photogenic Chiweenies, Kaia and Malia.

Lizzete Mendoza

Lizzete was always fascinated by the way a veterinarian could observe a patient and run tests to determine what was wrong, rather than communicating with words. She knew that she wanted to serve as an advocate for the earth’s creatures in that same way. For Lizzete, helping pets hands-on as a member of the veterinary profession is a dream come true!

Lizzete is originally from Mexico and has lived in the United States since she was a little girl. She’s currently attending the East Valley Institute of Technology to become a Veterinary Assistant, and was thrilled to accept an externship right here at Agape Animal Clinic. Lizzete couldn’t be happier to gain more hands-on experience in the world of veterinary care, and she finds that she’s particularly fond of helping with surgeries and dental procedures.

When she has time between work and school, Lizzete enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her pet. She has one animal companion at home, a red-eared slider turtle.
